This holiday season Philadelphia Zoo transforms from its daytime magic into a winter wonderland, immersing guests in a joyous multi-media light and music extravaganza. LumiNature will inspire a sense of wonder and connection as big cats and peacocks come alive, flamingos flock together on a 25 foot tree and all four seasons host their very own party….all with the artistry of lights, media, sound and nature itself. This whimsical and fantastical adventure will be brimming with seasonal fare, strolling performers, hot chocolate and ever-warming adult beverages to spark the holiday spirit in everyone!
LumiNature opens November 20th and runs through January 5th.
From November 20th through December 15th we will be open Wednesdays through Sundays.
Starting on Wednesday December 18th, we will be open every night through the final night of January 5th
Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Yes, LumiNature is a timed-ticketed, after-hours event. Members receive a 20% discount on tickets and FREE PARKING (a $16 value).

Guarantee your preferred time by purchasing tickets online in advance! Tickets are for a specific date and time. Entrance times are every half hour (last entry time 8:30). Print your tickets or show them on your mobile device at the Zoo entrance. Members, please note that you will also be asked to present your membership card along with your tickets.
For the best experience, we strongly recommend that you purchase tickets in advance to lock in your preferred entrance time. Attendance will be capped each night to maximize your experience. Tickets will sell out fast, so don’t wait!
Please plan to arrive at the Zoo at least 20 minutes prior to your reservation to allow time for parking and entrance. Late arrivals will be accommodated only if space permits.
During the first four weeks of LumiNature we are offering Value Nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays. November 20, 21, & 27 and December 4, 5, 11 & 12 ticket prices will be:
General admission – $20/adults & $16/children
Members – will be $12/adults and $10 for children!
Please check the Zoo’s website or social media channels to confirm operation on day of visit. In the event of a Zoo closure due to severe inclement weather, tickets for that day will be refunded. Refunds will be processed within 48 hours but may take up to a week to be released by your bank.
If you are having difficulty locating your online tickets, please be sure to check your junk/spam folder. You may also contact our Guest Relations team for assistance by calling 215-243-5254 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. After you have arrived at the Zoo, our cashiers can look your tickets up in our system.
LumiNature tickets are non-refundable (except for closure due to weather). Please feel free to gift your tickets to friends or family. If you are not able to attend LumiNature, please consider your tickets a tax-deductible contribution to Philadelphia Zoo, a 501(c)(3) organization.
Yes! They Zoo’s Hospitality team can help create an amazing experience for 50-200 guests including heated space directly off the main path and an all you can eat buffet starting at only $65 per person!

All Zoo parking lots will be open during LumiNature. In addition Philly PHLASH® will run extended evening service Friday – Sunday from 6:00-10:00 p.m. from Love Park (16th & JFK Blvd.) to the Philadelphia Zoo for LumiNature.
